Lando Norris won the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday ahead of Max Verstappen, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli recovered from a pre-race penalty to complete the podium in third. Starting from pole position, Norris lost the lead to McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri on the opening lap but fought his way back to the front to secure his first race victory of the season. Norris, the reigning world champion, won at the Hungaroring for the second successive year as he became the fifth different race winner in the last five grands prix. Verstappen matched his best result of the season despite a difficult weekend for Red Bull. Antonelli increased his lead at the top of the standings to 50 points over Lewis Hamilton after moving up from seventh on the starting grid, having incurred a three-place penalty on Saturday in qualifying. Hamilton slid from fourth to fifth in the race after receiving a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane, dropping him behind Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc. The season now heads into its summer break before resuming with the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort on August 23.

Kaizer Chiefs edged Scottland FC of Zimbabwe 1-0 to win the annual Toyota Cup at a packed Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday.Mfundo Vilakazi scored the only goal of the match in the first half.New coach Fernando da Cruz gave a start to new signing Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko, while other new recruits goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner and defender Thabo Moloisane started on the bench. The impressive debut has cemented the latest Christopher Nolan film as one of the biggest box office successes of the year. Streaming competition fails to slow cinemas The strong turnout also provides another positive sign for traditional cinemas, which have faced growing competition from streaming services in recent years. Nolan has long argued that his films are designed for the theatrical experience, particularly IMAX, where audiences can fully appreciate the large-scale visuals, immersive sound and cinematic spectacle. South African audiences appear to agree, with social media filled with praise for the film’s breathtaking cinematography, epic battle scenes and IMAX presentation. Gayton McKenzie has been criticised over his “unnecessary” and “irrelevant” speech at the funeral service of Jayden Adams on Saturday, 26 July in Stellenbosch. The Minister of Sport was invited to address the group of mourners, which included the late Bafana Bafana’s family and friends, soccer colleagues and SAFA and Sundowns management. Jayden is believed to have taken his own life earlier this month, just weeks after returning from the national team from the FIFA World Cup. GAYTON MCKENZIE SLAMMED OVER JAYDEN ADAMS SPEECH Gayto McKenzie was one of several prominent delegates who attended the funeral of Jayden Adams  Others included SAFA President Danny Jordaan, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, and the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Sundowns FC, Patrice Motsepe. Gayton kicked off his speech by sympathising with Jayden’s loved ones.
