Nine areas to experience a power outage in Johannesburg
Nine areas will experience a planned power outage in Johannesburg on Thursday, 6 August 2026 and Monday, 10 August 2026. The outage is intended to last for eight hours. City Power Johannesburg wrote in a statement that the outage aims to do essential maintenance on their electricity network. “The interruption is part of our program of constantly striving to provide a better service,” the statement read.
